How to Apply
Residency Application Requirements
All applicants must apply through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). The Office of Student Affairs at your medical school will be able to help you access the electronic system. In order to be complete, your application packet must include your ERAS common application form, personal statement, 3 letters of recommendation, USMLE or National Board scores and your medical school transcript. (Please note: We must have your transcript by our deadline in order for your file to be considered.) If you did not take the National Board examination, please let us know that.
The deadline for acceptance of application materials for the 2010 Match is October 15, 2009. All letters of recommendation (except Deans' letters) must be received by the deadline. (Deans' letters will be expected by November 6.) (Please note: our program is very strict about the deadline.) Interviews will be granted by invitation only.

Invitations
Invitations to interview at Wake Forest will be sent prior to and following our application deadline. Please do not feel you have not been selected when you hear of others receiving invitations from Wake Forest. Applications completed early are reviewed early.
All candidates who have submitted applications will receive either an invitation or regret letter no later than the first week of November. Both will be sent to the email address you provided on your ERAS application. If a regret letter is returned due to a full mailbox, it will not be resent, so please be sure to check your mail often and clear your box of large files.
