Helping Hand Program

The Wake Forest University Student Services/Minority Programs and the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) are pleased to offer to minority medical school applicants, the Helping Hand Program.

SNMA has agreed to offer assistance in locating temporary housing for minority medical school applicants and to be available after interviews to answer any questions.  Applicants are paired with medical students from their undergraduate college when possible.  Occasionally, applicants need transportation to or from the airport, train or bus stations.  Assistance with travel needs is possible with at least two weeks notice.

After the interview concludes, applicants are asked to visit Student Services/Minority Programs to ensure that applicants’ questions have been answered and to introduce you to Student Services/Minority Programs.
