Medical Education in Infectious Diseases

The Infectious Diseases Faculty places a high priority on teaching and the sharing of scholarly information at all levels. In addition to the didactic and clinical instruction for medical students, residents and fellows, the faculty supports continuing medical education in infectious diseases for the Triad region and Southeast United States. Our clinical infectious diseases conference is currently being broadcast to outlying sites in an interactive telemedicine format.  In 2007, five faculty presented and/or chaired sessions at the IDSA national meeting. Many of our faculty have been recognized as outstanding educators by medical students and houseofficers.
