Applying for Financial Aid

Financial assistance is available for students who, for financial reasons, could not otherwise attend Wake Forest University School of Medicine (WFUSM).

WFUSM considers the primary responsibility of financing medical school to be that of the family and the student. Therefore, to be considered for WFUSM scholarship, grant, or loan funds, a student must provide parental financial information as part of the financial aid application.

On the day of interview, applicants meet with the Financial Aid Officer and are provided general information about aid and appropriate application materials. Individual consultations can be arranged upon request.

Scholarships, loans and grants are awarded in accordance with criteria governing each source of funds and on the basis of financial need.
