Family & Community Medicine
Greetings from the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine on the Bowman Gray Campus in Winston-Salem, North Carolina! Our Department provides a comprehensive academic atmosphere for practice, education and research with a strong identity in a large academic health center. The department continues to excel in providing high quality care and is recognized as a top practice for patient satisfaction and cost efficiency (academic and non-academic practices included) in our region.
We remain integrally involved in all 4 years of the medical school experience with our 3rd-year clerkship rated amongst the highest of the clinical rotations. The residency program continues to accent our efforts with over 300 applicants competing for our 10 internship positions. Fellowship programs in Sports Medicine and Geriatrics further enhance our academic climate. Our research endeavors rank us in the top 15 of Family Medicine departments for NIH funding. Thank you for viewing our website and feel free to give us any feedback.
