While cancer research at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center involves all cancers, the Comprehensive Cancer Center has selected 3 types of cancer on which to focus major research efforts and expertise: prostate, breast and brain. These areas were selected because of the breadth and depth of research expertise that exists in the Cancer Center in the areas of clinical, basic, and population research.
