User Groups

The possibilities are endless and limited only by time and the financial resources of the laboratory. As an example of potential trainees, the laboratory has already taught groups from cardiovascular research, otolaryngology, anesthesiology, nurse anesthesia, medical school, and OR nursing. Even high school science students are scheduled for courses within the lab. Most of these groups desire ongoing training and access to our facility, while a few might make a single annual visit. Those who are interested in utilizing the laboratory should call the Director to discuss the curriculum. The laboratory is designed for a maximum group size of 12, although special arrangements are made for larger groups. Alternatively, interactive sessions might be limited to 6 students. Full-scale simulation involves multiple groups or individuals who converge within the laboratory to manage a medical crisis at multiple levels.
