2008-2009 Application Cycle for the Class of 2011
The Wake Forest University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program participates in the Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA) and subscribes to the CASPA Admissions Code of Cooperation.

In order to be considered for admission to the Wake Forest University School of Medicine (WFUSM) Physician Assistant Program, a completed application must be submitted through CASPA. Applications for the WFUSM Physician Assistant Class of 2011 (entering June 2009) are available beginning April 17, 2008. For questions about completing the CASPA application, contact CaspaInfo@caspaonline.org or call (617) 612-2080.
For an application to be complete with CASPA, the online application and all supporting documentation must be submitted to CASPA by the deadline.
A completed application includes:
- the CASPA application e-submitted via the CASPA website
- two of three letters of reference submitted to CASPA
- transcripts from all schools attended (except for transcripts of courses in progress or planned prior to matriculation) submitted to CASPA at the following mailing address:

Application Deadlines
- Priority Deadline - August 1, 2008:
- Priority will be given to those candidates who submit a completed application and all supporting documentation by August 1, 2008. Applications received earliest will be reviewed first and receive priority in scheduling interviews.
- Final Deadline - October 1, 2008:
- To qualify for entrance into the Class of 2011, candidates must submit a completed application and all supporting documentation by October 1, 2008.
- Early submission of application and supporting documents is highly encouraged.
- All materials for application, except GRE scores, should be sent to CASPA.
- After submitting the online application, applicants should check the CASPA Applicant Portal frequently to verify that references and transcripts have been received by CASPA.
- If there is a problem with CASPA's receipt of any supporting documentation, applicants should follow up with the parties involved and apprise the WFUSM PA Program of any possible delay in meeting a deadline.
Graduate Record Exam (GRE) Scores
In addition to the CASPA application and supporting documentation, applicants must submit scores for the GRE general test to WFUSM Department of PA Studies Institution Code 5923 (no Department Code is required) on or before the Priority Deadline (August 1, 2008) for early consideration, or on or before the Final Deadline (October 1, 2008). Although GRE scores may be received after the deadline and will be considered in the application through November 2008, applications cannot be processed until GRE scores are received.
The GRE should be taken within five years of the application deadline. Applicants who have successfully completed a Masters or a PhD degree in the last ten years and are unable to obtain GRE scores from ETS due to time limitations will be permitted to submit GRE scores that are obtained from the admission records of the institution granting their graduate level degree.
