Individual gifts have always been highly appreciated and a significant source of support for the Medical Center. The initiative to found the Bone and Joint Center is an opportunity for benefactors who want to contribute towards enhancing the quality of life for people facing the prospect of long-term disability, due to disease or trauma.

In addition, women's health is a continuing area of endeavor at the Medical Center and within the Bone and Joint Center. Research is progressing on several fronts to combat the effects of osteoporosis. There is a commitment to acquisition of the most advanced and effective surgical and diagnostic capabilities.
Individual donors may have a positive influence in the lives of others by funding clinical studies, improvements in surgical techniques, training for tomorrow's leading orthopaedic surgeons, and research for advances against debilitating musculoskeletal conditions.
