Cherrie D. Welch, MD MPH is a graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency, neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship, and master’s degree in epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research interests are in the effects of neonatal nutritional factors on long term outcomes including neuro-developmental, behavioral, adult/childhood medical disorders. Her clinical interests are in the assessment and management of pain in neonates and the creation and maintenance of a developmentally supportive intensive care nursery environment.
