Steven M. Block, MB BCh
received his medical degree at the University of the Witwatersand, South Africa, and completed pediatric residency and neonatology fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Block is a Professor of Pediatrics and was recently named Senior Associate Dean of the Medical School. He is also the co-Director of Nurseries at Brenner Children's Hospital. Dr. Block's research interests include understanding the anatomic and physiologic bases for periventricular hemorrhage in premature babies. His clinical interests include quality improvement and management in complex adaptive systems. Dr. Block has a major interest in neonatal education and has developed a "problem based learning" curriculum in neonatology.
