Our physician staff includes 11 neonatologists and several Ph.D research faculty members who are dedicated to our mission of excellence in patient care, teaching, research and advocacy.

Our program is centered in the Brenner Children's Hospital which offers the Region's only Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Nusery. The neonatologists use state-of-the-art equipment and the expertise of more than 120 pediatric specialists at the hospital to map out each baby's individual treatment plan. 

From 2001 to 2006, Brenner Children's Hospital participated as a member of the National Institute of Health NICHD Neonatal Network, expanding our opportunities for collaborative clinicals trials. The NICU is a member of the Vermont-Oxford Neonatal Database. Our educational and research efforts include multiple studies and clinical trials, helping find the best treatments to improve outcomes for infants.

Our faculty also provide on-site neonatology services at the Forsyth Medical Center SaraLee Center for Women's Health Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery.
