Course Objectives
Upon completion of this class, the student will be able to:

• Identify sources for table of contents (TOC) services:
• Individual journals / publishers
• Amedeo - a clearinghouse for TOC service  http://www.amedeo.com/
• My NCBI in PubMed
• Know the difference between a current awareness search and a general topic search
• Choose an appropriate database for a current awareness search
• Understand the types of topics which are good candidates for current awareness searches
• Register for and set up a Current Awareness Search in My NCBI
