RSS Feeds
Back to Information & Library Services
RSS stands for a variety of things, like Really Simple Syndication. But in essence, it gathers information, as it is produced, and brings it to you rather than you having to go find it. This allows you to stay current in an ever increasing range of topics, journal titles, and organizations that are related to your field of expertise. One of the best explanations for RSS is a very short video - RSS in Plain English - developed by Common Craft, where they have created a great visual description of what it is, how it works, and how easy it is to get. Some examples of popular free web-based Readers are Bloglines, Newsgator (the one I use), My Yahoo! and Google Reader.
Below are some current RSS Feeds from our webpages, as well as some suggested publishers that have RSS Feeds from their medical journals, and some organizational sites with RSS Feeds to keep you updated on information.
