Course Objectives

Upon completion of this class, the student will be able to:

• Know when to choose CINAHL for searching.
• Access CINAHL online.
• Understand basic types of articles (research, letters, editorials, etc.)
• Understand basic concept of controlled language indexing: using defined subject headings
• Understand Boolean logic.
• Limit to publication year.
• Choose, display and print citations.
• Obtain full text of selected articles.

CINAHL Tutorials

• Basic Ebsco Searching Part 1
  This tutorial will cover the basics of searching by keyword and setting basic limits. Time approx. 3 minutes.
• Basic Ebsco Searching Part 2
  This tutorial will demonstrate adding citations to your Folder, and then saving, emailing and printing the articles you have added to your Folder. Time approx. 5 minutes.
