This service is provided for the following:
- physicians and staff at institutions who have a membership with Northwest AHEC Information & Library Services
- individual subscribers to Northwest AHEC Information & Library Services
- preceptors of medical, nursing, pharmacy, or other students in healthcare fields from Wake Forest University School of Medicine
- medical residents or students from Wake Forest University School of Medicine
To order documents, please register with Wake Forest University School of Medicine Carpenter Library ILLiad system.
Please read the following instructions before registering:
Please follow these steps to see whether you have already been registered by your library contact person or Northwest AHEC Library staff:
· Connect to the ILLiad logon page
· For username enter your first and last names with no space between names, all in capital letters; for example - JOESMITH
· For password enter NWAHEC all in capital letters.
Special registration instructions for Northwest AHEC ILS patrons:
· When entering your Mailing Address, please type in the full name of your hospital or institution
· For Status, please select AHEC
· For Department, please select the name of your hospital, AHEC Individual, or Northwest AHEC (staff)
· We need you to type your first and last name as one word for your username in ALL UPPERCASE LETTERS. You will need to use NWAHEC, again all in caps, for your password. This allows us to identify you as a Northwest AHEC customer and, more importantly, ensure that you are not charged for your article requests.

Special ordering instructions for Northwest AHEC ILS patrons:
· For "Account Number" please use the pull-down menu to change "Invoice" to "C.O.D."
· For “Maximum Cost” type “10.00” in the space provided. You will not be charged for your article request as this service is covered through your Northwest AHEC Information & Library Services membership. However, the request form requires that this space be filled in.
· In the space provided for "Call Number" please indicate where you would like your article delivered, for example, email: jsmith@email.com or fax: 555-123-4567.
