Interdisciplinary Education

In order to meet the complex patient needs in the current healthcare setting, many healthcare professionals must combine efforts and offer their expertise to provide the highest quality of care. This interdisciplinary approach is particularly effective for addressing problems that are beyond the expertise of one practitioner. Northwest AHEC interdisciplinary education programs are designed to advance the skills of healthcare professionals in all disciplines, encouraging a comprehensive team approach to patient care.
