KEY VALUES AND STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR Standards of Behavior are specific actions that support each of the Key Values. Standards of Behavior are specific actions that support each of the Key Values. They guide our ethical behavior at all times and are woven through the Code of Conduct. Excellence I will do the right thing for the right reason even when no one is watching. I will view everyone I come into contact with as my customer. I will listen attentively to my customers as they will define excellence. I will provide quality services to my customers. I will act in support of patient and customer safety. Compassion I will treat others the way I would like to be treated. I will be sincere and kind. I will make sure that a spiritual and healing environment is always available to my customers. I will create an environment of safety, security, and trust for my customers.  I will respect the privacy and confidentiality of others. Innovation I will accept change and be open to new ideas. I will explore new ways to do things and will learn from my mistakes. I will do whatever is necessary to improve quality outcomes. I will create and/or adopt new technology that will improve my performance. Integrity I will be honest and reliable in everything I do. I will set a good example. I will be sensitive to cultural and language difference. I will speak positively about The Medical Center and my co-workers. Collegiality I will smile and greet co-workers. I will not give or receive verbal abuse. I will give and ask for help. I will say “thank you” when helped by others. I will promote teamwork and celebrate the accomplishments of my co-workers.
