We are entrusted with maintaining and protecting the confidentiality of information belonging to our patients, co-workers, and NCBH & Subsidiaries. We understand that we are regulated by law and Hospital policy regarding confidential and other sensitive information. We understand that those who violate this trust will be held accountable for their actions.
Confidential Information
• We comply with HIPAA and all other State and Federal privacy laws.
• We follow NCBH & Subsidiaries policies and procedures regarding privacy and security of information.
Patient Information
• We value, respect, and protect the privacy of our patients.
• We strive to accurately and completely file medical care documentation in the correct patient record.
• We safeguard patient health information and limit access to patient information to those protect the privacy of our employees.
• We safeguard employee information and limit access to individuals who have a clear professional need to individuals who have a clear professional need to know.
Employee Information
• We value, respect, and know.
Business Information
• We do not disclose confidential business information concerning NCBH & Subsidiaries or its vendors without proper authorization or specific legal requirement.
Communication and the Public
• We direct all media requests to the Office of Public Relations and Marketing during business hours. After-hours, weekends, and holidays media requests are handled by Nursing Administration.
• We obtain guidance and clearance from the Office of Public Relations and Marketing before releasing any Hospital information to any member of the media.
