Current Research:

I have an interest in the mechanisms of acute lung inflammation. In that light, I have worked for several years refining a mouse model of the resolution phase of acute lung inflammation. The experiments conducted called for very detailed work with flow cytometric techniques. The clinical research topics in which I have worked mirrored the experiments in the mouse model. As a critical care physician, I have been involved in many aspects of clinical study design and administration. I have had the opportunity to be involved in many multicenter studies that span Phase I through Phase IV FDA approval of therapeutic agents.
