Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) Toolkit
- AccessMedicine- save content for PDA download by clicking on the Save for PDA link from any content page on Accessmedicine. Sign up for a free personal account by clicking on “PDA Downloads” on the top right-hand side of the AccessMedicine home page.
- DynaMed PDA - clinically organized summaries of nearly 1,800 topics and is updated daily from review of the research literature. Request a serial number for the PDA download or use via the web. Technical Requirements: DynaMed requires 25 megabytes of disk space on either the PDA device or a memory card.
- MDConsult for PDA (MDC Mobile) -Get the table of contents from selected journals on your PDA, enter search topics to be searched at sync, get the latest medical news and other interactive functions. Registration required (free), then click on "My PDA" for instructions on downloading the PDA component. Technical requirements: 9MB of free space recommended; most Palm and Pocket PC devices supported. Smartphones not supported at this time.
- Thomson Clinical Xpert (formerly Mobile Micromedex) - PDA version of the popular drug reference includes drug information, possible interactions, toxicology, acute care, and alternative medicine information. User's Guide (PDF)
