Federal Register
Published by the Office of the Federal Register, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), the Federal Register is the official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents. It is updated daily by 6 a.m. and is published Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays. GPO Access contains Federal Register volumes from 59 (1994) to the present.
Federal Regulations
Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments - The objective of the CLIA program is to ensure quality laboratory testing. Although all clinical laboratories must be properly certified to receive Medicare or Medicaid payments, CLIA has no direct Medicare or Medicaid program responsibilities.
Code of Federal Regulations - The codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government. It is divided into 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to Federal regulation. Each volume of the CFR is updated once each calendar year and is issued on a quarterly basis.

American Medical Association Press - A comprehensive listing of the electronic and print publications from the American Medical Association. Materials include journals, books, and other electronic materials. Search the site by using broad subject categories, or perform a specific search using the provided search box.

North Carolina Medical Society - The largest physician organization in the state, their site contains a membership directory, meetings information, special societies within the organization, an accreditation program for members, and a news section with health news updates, which frequently contain legislative information as it relates to healthcare.
North Carolina State Department of Justice - The official site of the Attorney General of North Carolina. This site contains information about state laws as they pertain to consumer protection, health, the do-not-call registry, citizens' rights, and the environment. The site also has a lengthy list of resources available to the public at large.
North Carolina State Government - NCgov.com is the official website of the State of North Carolina government. This site contains a comprehensive list of all government agencies, facts and figures about North Carolina, and also sections specifically designed for parents, students, and visitors to our state.
USA.gov - The United States government's official web portal serving as a gateway to US government information on the web. Users can search millions of state and federal government documents on a wide variety of topics such as: health, benefits and grants, consumer protection, and countless other pertinent topics.

Health, United States - A report on national trends in health statistics. It is produced annually by the National Center for Heath Statistics and contains a wide variety of user information such as a highlights section, chartbook, and 151 trend tables for the current year's volume.
