ElementK - Online Learning
Element K is an online desktop application training company certified by Microsoft and Adobe that provides hundreds of online courses to universities and businesses worldwide. The Carpenter Library has purchased 500 subscriptions for Medical Center personnel, not to replace other training already in place, but rather as an alternate path for employees and students who are too busy to commit to a seven hour class, or for those whose learning style is better suited to an online class.
Element K breaks down application training into different levels. It doesn’t force someone to start at level one and successively work through each subsequent level, but rather the user may start at any level within that course, and pick up where they left off the next time they log in. Element K may be used off-campus with any internet connection. You may take as many courses as you like.
