SMART Boards
The Carpenter Library has SMART Boards with projectors in two computer classrooms and three student meeting rooms:
- Small Group Instruction
- Conference Room
- Classroom D
- Computer Classrooms A and B
They may be used as ordinary white boards with dry-erase markers, or connect them to your laptop for a group computing environment

- Download the SMART Board software to your laptop. Install the trial version and use this product key to activate:

- Please note that it is NOT necessary to install anything if you just want to project your desktop - the SmartBoard software is needed if you want to interact at the board.
Benefits:
- Write, erase and perform mouse functions with your finger, a pen or an eraser – right on the board.
- Pick up a pen or the eraser, and the pen tray automatically detects which tool you’ve selected. Buttons activate the On-Screen Keyboard, right-click and help function.
- Capture your work to SMART Board software as a screen shot that you can edit, or save your notes directly into several software applications, including Windows versions of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel, or into AutoCAD software.
