The LRC closes one half hour earlier than the library.
The Learning Resources Center (LRC) is located at the back of the Carpenter Library, 1st Floor Gray Building. The LRC houses a variety of health sciences audiovisual and computer resources, with trained staff to help.
- The LRC houses a variety of Anatomical Charts and Models.
These models and charts check out for 1 week - see our full selections in the LRC. Other Audiovisual materials include videos, DVDs, CD-ROMs, and Slides.
- Audiovisual Equipment is available for checkout. LCD projectors are available for lassroom demonstrations while other LCD projection panels are available for check out.
- The LRC collection of software includes computer-assisted instruction (CAI) covering a wide variety of medical topics, Adobe CS2*, Macromedia MX** and Microsoft Office Professional (2003 and 2007 versions). ***

The computers located in the Learning Resources Center are available for Medical Center faculty, staff, and student use. These computers provide an ideal opportunity to become more familiar with software and computers through a variety of available tutorials. Most of the computers in the LRC are attached to the Medical Center network and can access a wide variety of programs. Available software includes Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) programs which cover a wide variety of medical topics in addition to the standard word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
Two computer classrooms are equipped with Dell computers and may be reserved by Medical Center faculty, staff, and students for instructional purposes. Ceiling-mounted LCD projectors are available for classroom demonstrations while other LCD projection panels are available for check out. When not in use for scheduled classes, these computers are available for individual access.
