Dr. Debra Diz
My decision to attend Wake as a Physiology and Pharmacology graduate student is based on the supportive atmosphere, extensive research, facilities and challenging curriculum offered.  My first experience at Wake was during an undergraduate internship in 1999.  It was then that I learned of the sincerity of the faculty and staff in creating a challenging yet nurturing teaching environment in all aspects.  I chose the Hypertension and Vascular Disease Center because of the cutting edge research, collaborative efforts and commitment of the faculty to train students to become successful scientists.
