Our nationally accredited hypertension specialists have helped shape the modern era of medical care by not only participating in some of the most innovative treatment and prevention protocols available worldwide but they also continue to pioneer new technology and treatment approaches developed here at the Wake Forest University Baptist Health Science Center. Their national and international leadership in the field of cardiovascular disease is further underscored by their research discoveries in the treatment of high blood pressure and vascular disease and their position of leadership as the National Coordinating Center for a network of 23 established Cardiovascular Centers of Excellence across 13 States in the Southeastern USA. Home of the first nationally established Medical Registry for Hypertension Detection and Treatment, funded by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the specialists at the Hypertension and Vascular Research Center provide a unique environment for medical detection and prevention of these ailments.
