May 3, 2006
May Teacher Event
Stacy Peterson is in charge. It’s set for May 12. Stacy still needs volunteers for 4 rooms. Lindsay Holder will share her volunteer list. Stacy will get the teachers’ names from Kris Kent.
June/July Teacher Event
Dalena Childress is in charge. The event is set for Friday, June 30, from 11 to 1.
August Teacher Event
The theme is “end of summer.” Barbara Evans is in charge. No date has been set yet. The tentative plan is to have watermelon and other fruits for the teachers and staff to enjoy.
September Teacher Event
The theme is “back to school.” Kris Kent suggested school supplies for each teacher. Details to be determined.
2nd Quarter Parent Event – End-of-Year Picnic
Leslie Underwood reported on the progress of plans. Wally the Warthog, McGruff the Crime Dog, and the fire department have all been contacted for appearances during the picnic. Leslie and Delia Rhodes met with Steve Linter (one of last year’s organizers) and got lots of good ideas.
3rd Quarter Parent Event
August 25th been tentatively planned as the Warthogs game (After the meeting, Delia reported that August 25th may be a conflict with another WFUBMC event. More planning is needed on this event.)
Graduation Picnic
Linda Arcure presented a budget for the graduation picnic. The organizers are looking for 2 people to set up the food, drinks, etc. at the park shelter before families arrive from the ceremony. They have budgeted $60 to pay each person $30 for their services. Cathy James is checking with her sister-in-law; Leslie Underwood is checking with a teenage neighbor. Budget attached.
Next PIC meeting is Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 12 noon.
