Qi Gong

The WFUBMC Recreation Therapy Department with association of the Massage Program is proud to announce Qi Gong classes taught by Rick Jones, LMBT, Associate Healing Tao Instructor.
Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese exercise system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention. By utilizing gentle, rhythmic movements breathing and focused attention Qi Gong reduces stress, builds stamina, increases vitality, and enhances the immune system. It may also improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions.
Science has confirmed that Qi Gong reduces hypertension and the incidence of falling in seniors. People often have a stronger body/mind/soul connection after consistently practicing Qi Gong.
The schedule for upcoming Qi Gong Group classes is:
- Oct. 6 thru Dec. 22 ~ 12:15-1:00 ~ NCBH Fitness Center ~ Every Tuesday
- Oct. 13, 27 ~ 5:15-6:15 ~ Sticht Center Ground Floor Auditorium
- Nov. 10, 24 ~ 5:15-6:15 ~ Sticht Center Ground Floor Auditorium
- Dec. 8, 22 ~ 5:15-6:15 ~ Sticht Center Ground Floor Auditorium
Cost: $40 (6 classes), $10 (Drop in class). Cash or check accepted.
Private classes are also available in 30 and 45 minute sessions.
