Meet our Providers
Clio Austin, MD
Dr. Austin is a board certified pediatrician and joined us after spending four years in a private practice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
After earning her bachelor's degree in Psychology from New York University, she attended Temple University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Austin's approach to patient care is to empower a parent/guardian to provide the very best care for their child by attending to both their physical and emotional needs. She works to establish a relationship of mutual respect and listens to the concern of both the parent and child. Dr. Austin strives to treat every child the way she would like her own child to be treated. Although Dr. Austin enjoys all aspects of pediatric care, her special areas of special interest include the management of asthma and childhood obesity, and providing support for breast feeding mothers.
Dr. Austin is married and has two children. When not in the office she enjoys spending time with her family - especially outdoor adventures and reading.
Chip Monroe, MD, FAAP
Dr. Monroe is a board certified pediatrician who joined us after practicing at Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
After earning his bachelor's degree in Biological Science with Chemistry and Music minors, he attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric internship and residency at University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dr. Monroe believes that the relationship between a parent and/or guardian and a child's pediatrician should be a partnership - working together to determine the best course of action for a particular problem. He believes that every child is different, and sometimes a different approach is needed to best care for that child. Dr. Monroe loves being a part of a child's early growth and development and enjoys forming a long-term relationship with the family. He believes that accessibility is a key to forming that lasting relationship and he strives to be available to address questions or concerns.
In his spare time, he enjoys fatherhood, spending time with his family, bicycling, playing the piano, and vegetarian cooking.
