Meet our Providers

Marianthe Burns, MD

Dr. Burns is a board certified family practitioner. She earned her bachelor's degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Xavier University, where she majored in natural sciences with a minor in classical studies. Dr. Burns attended the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio and completed her family practice residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Dr. Burns strives to give the highest quality of care to all her patients. She addresses the needs of each individual and considers how other aspects of their life, such as home and work, may have an affect of their health. Dr. Burns is interested in caring for patients of all ages, and has a special interest in diabetes and women's health.

When not in the office she enjoys spending time with her husband and black lab, Isis. She also enjoys travel, hiking, and Greek language and culture.

David Dixon, MD

After graduating from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature, Dr. Dixon attended UNC - Chapel Hill School of Medicine and completed his residency in family practice at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

His professional interests include preventive medicine, women's health issues and pediatric and adolescent care. He is fluent in Spanish and looks forward to serving the health care of the Latino community.

Dr. Dixon chose family medicine so he would be able to develop relationships and care for all members of the family throughout all stages of their life. He believes that healing should take into consideration all aspects of a person's life, the spiritual, mental, and physical.

Outside of the office, Dr. Dixon enjoys playing the guitar, reading, bicycle riding, listening to music and spending time with his wife and two sons.

Lisa Petri, MD

Dr. Lisa Petri is a board certified family practitioner who comes to Wake Forest Baptist Community Physicians with several years experience in primary care. After earning her bachelor's degree, majoring in Biology and Science, from the University of Richmond, in Richmond, Virginia, she attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. She completed her family practice residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia.

Dr. Petri believes disease prevention is an integral part of patient care, and strives to educate her patients in order that they may live a healthy, quality life. She believes that a combination of patient education and a good doctor-patient relationship is necessary to achieve the best results.

Dr. Petri is married and has two daughters. When not in the office she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, hiking, biking, and reading.

Stephanie Baginski, MD

After graduating from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in Cell and Structural Biology, Dr. Baginski attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. She completed her residency in family medicine at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in Spartanburg, SC. She is board certified in family Medicine.

Dr. Baginski takes pride in her patients' wellness through prescribing effective treatments and offering preventative counseling. She strives to educate and inspire her patients to live healthier lives, and has a particular interest in women's health, dermatology and wound care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Baginski enjoys traveling, interior design and gardening.
