Program designed to promote lifestyle changes to enhance quality of life in pulmonary disease including emphysema, asthma, chronic bronchitis, and other pulmonary conditions. The purpose of the program is to enable individuals diagnosed with chronic lung disease to enhance their quality of life through physical conditioning, understanding of the disease process and enhancement of treatment.

 

Components

Lectures: Featuring topics designed specifically for COPD patients including travel preparation, disease management, exercise programs, stress management and nutrition.

Exercise Conditioning: Functional reconditioning programs are developed to meet the needs of individual participants. Monitored sessions allow you to safely implement a program that will increase your overall fitness level.

Stress Management: A certified counselor will work with you and your family to help you adjust to changes caused by the disease process.

 

Dietary Intervention: A registered dietician is available to instruct participants on proper eating habits.
