Study Looking at a Drug to Treat Leukemia

What we are studying

This study will help us learn more about an investigational drug in patients who are newly diagnosed with high risk (secondary) leukemia and have not received any treatment for the disease.

Who we are studying

  • Men and Women
  • Races:
    • White
    • African American
    • Asian
    • American Indian or Alaska Native
    • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander
    • Other
  • All Ethnicities
  • Ages 60 - 75

Eligibility Criteria

  • Diagnosis of leukemia

What is involved

  • If you choose to enroll in this study you could receive medication for 1 to 5 months depending on how you respond to treatment as well as your side effects.
  • Once you stop treatment your condition will be followed at monthly intervals (once a month) by your doctor for 1 year from the date you started the study.
  • After the first year you will be followed for up to 5 years from the date you started the study.
