Experimental Drug for Partial Epilepsy

What we are studying

The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of an experimental drug for people with partial epilepsy (having seizures that affect only part of the brain) over a one year period of time. The experimental drug is being tested as a monotherapy (single medication) for people with partial epilepsy not well controlled by other antiepileptic drugs (AEDs).

• Ages 16 - 70

Eligibility Criteria

• Have Epilepsy
• Must have participated in either 093-045 or 093-046

What is involved

• 1 year initial time commitment with an option of continuing study drug treatment beyond 1 year
• Must have participated in the previous study.

Compensation:

$100.00 for each completed visit until the end of the study
