Greetings:
One of the most inspirational parts about working at an academic medical center is the sense of determination to do better. We all like to be recognized, to win our share of awards, but what I notice most about Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center on a daily basis is how much people are focused on the future.
Of course, the future is first and foremost exemplified in the quest to restore health to the sick and injured. The future is feature in the faces of Wake Forest medical students as they strive to bring to life their dreams of being doctors. The future unfolds incrementally in the laboratories as basic scientists dig for new knowledge that will complete the circle and enhance the care available to patients.
It is a huge challenge for us in the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs to keep up with the intensity and the sophistication of the activity at the Medical Center. There are so many worthy programs and projects. As one of our geriatricians puts it, there is such a range of work and need that every gift, every donation, no matter how much, can be put to use to further the mission.
So, we would like to talk to you anytime about the marvelous work being done at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. We invite you to explore the wide range of opportunities to increase the store of knowledge that makes all the difference to people in need.
Our calendar year is winding down but the good news about how the knowledge continues to evolve is evidence by the story you can read here.
Sincerely,

Norman D. Potter, Jr.
