Ordering Animals

Procurement of Dogs

Dogs require special space/caging and inquiries should be made as far in advance as possible.

The ARP procures dogs from Covance Research Products, a commercial purpose-bred vendor.  High quality, well-conditioned purebred dogs are available and prices vary depending on pedigree, age, health records, transportation costs, etc.

General Information:

Before ordering any animals, the Principal Investigator must have an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) approved protocol in place. An Animal Order Form then needs to be filled out completely and forwarded to the appropriate Animal Resources Program (ARP) office. [More Details]
